Some might call me a multi-tasker and here’s why…
I am the Art Director of the Library of American Comics, a company I co-own with my husband Dean. Together we help to preserve the history of newspaper comic strips dating back to the early teens.
In 2019 we will publish LOAC’s 200th book.
I am a professional Animal Communicator donating all to WildHorse Education – a non-profit fighting to protect wild horses and burros in the US. I also teach animal communication workshops starting at age 8. It all begins with meditation.
As an author of two published books, Calico Horses and the Patchwork Trail, and “Sæ-Sii Meditation: How to Find Your Bliss in 15 Minutes a Day”, I know first-hand the hard work it takes. In the years I spent creating them, I saw how life experiences crept into the work. I am passionate about helping animals and people and through my research I have met some incredible role models — much like the hidden animals in my art, I have woven them into my books.
I am a Watercolor Artist teaching workshops to child/adult teams who are beginners with little or no experience. Utilizing dollar store art supplies I show how anyone can begin if they are willing to try— you don’t have to break the bank. The teams quickly bond realizing that it has nothing to do with their age. No erasers are used in my classes, as there are no mistakes only life lessons.
I am a Textile Artist who supports endangered animals worldwide. All of my art illustrates conversations I’ve had through my work as an animal communicator. Each is stitched with purpose and love. Setting my intention to help others, allows me to collaborate with many non-profits striving to protect the Animal Kingdom.

NOW YOU CAN FOLLOW ALONG!
I am happy to announce that I am collaborating with a wonderful organization nestled between two mountain ranges along the beautiful Bitterroot River in Montana— “Days at Dunrovin Ranch.” They are passionate in bringing harmony to animals and people, and I am delighted to join them in this effort.
D@D is a subscription-based community with 4 live web cams available 24/7 allowing the world to see nature in the comfort of their own homes. I love keeping all 4 live feeds on my screen watching the animals as I am stitching.

Hi Lorraine, I am amazed by your artwork and the gift you have to talk with animals.
I was contacted by the Rome quilting school about teaching and they told me that you had taught there. Can I ask you some questions about your experience? Thank you,
Denise Labadie
