Meditation 101

If you can still your mind and quiet your heart, you will align yourself with the greatest source of wisdom on earth, your inner voice.

Meditation enhances creativity, builds self-esteem and frees the mind of any debris that will inhibit your journey.

All of the artwork and writings on this website were manifested through Lorraine’s daily meditation, something so simple the children she teaches do it with ease.

How to Begin

1.  Close your eyes, say an invocation asking for protection and state your intention. This is not a religious prayer; It is simply a statement to the universe asking for a safe passage as you open your mind to a more spiritual awareness. Safe passage into the world of the unknown is very important and allows a corner of your rational thinking brain to feel calm. This is a gateway to letting go of thought. Setting your intention allows you to be clear about what you hope to achieve as you disconnect from your conscious mind. Don’t worry about the time as you will set that internal alarm by adding; “I wish to sit for fifteen minutes” and you will be brought back to your fully conscious state in that length of time – no alarms needed. Meditation is much like daydreaming.

2.  Allow your mind to sit in silence for fifteeen minutes.

3.  Slowly open your eyes and when you are able, keep all that was given in a journal. Over time your intuition will strengthen and perhaps your life will be more free.

WHY?  because you have opened the door to your true spirit that is with you from birth.

Here is an example of the prayer i use:

To my highest guides and helpers second to none

Bless me and keep me safe at this time that I sit

Knowing all that is said, done and heard, felt or sensed in any way is with absolute love as I blend myself with my consciousness.

I wish at this time to be at One with my Spirit (Set your intention, what do you hope to achieve?)

Other examples of intention might be:

I wish at this time to be at peace.

I wish at this time to be at One with the Universe.

I wish at this time to help develop my spiritual gifts.
